Di Ridley is our senior psychologist and is an endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist. Di works with individuals across the lifespan and has worked with us at SCPC since 2018.

Di also worked at the Parenting Research Center for 17 years and contributed to the research and delivery of many adult, parent, adolecent and child programs in community and health settings, schools, early learning centres, and in home settings. Di was also a trained teacher who enjoyed working with parents and children on behaviour, anxiety and educational needs. She has worked as an educational consultant in schools, specialising in supporting children with behavioural and reading challenges and taught in both primary and secondary schools and settings. 

 

Throughout her career, Di has been involved in training professionals and parents in a range of programs, including High Risk programs, Small Talk, Signposts for Building Better Behaviour, ABCD, Making Moments Matter, Healthy Start, AusParenting in Schools, Early Days, Baby Business, and the Positive Parenting Program (both in Australia and internationally). 

Di is qualified in Triple P parenting (Levels 4 and 5) and the Circle of Security program and is available to provide individual and group programs with a variety of parenting issues. She enjoys supporting neurodivergent children and using many therapy modalities including play therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Di provides a number of assessments for children including psycho-educational assessments such as WISC-V, WIAT-III and is trained in assessment for autism with ADOS – II and Migdas 3, as well as ADHD.
